The name Mirembe originates - in Eastern Africa and means - means "peace" in Luganda.

As for some of our other projects we are using very simple but effective techniques, to stretch the capacity of your hoop, effortless!. The project is done in two 7 x 11 hoops.
The head part ( appliqué) is done on a fabric rectangle of 28" x 17". -
The skirt (appliqué) as well as the the orange fabric belt is done on one layer fabri solvy/ wet' n gone and one layer organza, then cut out and ironed on in place. -
This beautiful design is ideal for quilts, wall hangings, cushions, skirts and as a framed picture.
